The Secret Jazz Band is a vintage-inspired collective dedicated to the golden era of high-society swing and the timeless elegance of the silver screen. Led by vocalist Katie Harris and her husband, drummer Tom Brayton, the band brings a sophisticated "Jet-set Jazz" energy to Southern California’s most iconic stages.

The Secret Jazz Band is the result of a lifelong immersion in the art of the atmosphere. Born from Katie Harris’s deep-rooted connection to the legendary orchestrators of the 1930s and 40s, and powered by her husband and partner Tom’s long-time love for jazz, the ensemble was built to provide the definitive soundtrack for every environment, from the intimate glow of a private lounge to the grand scale of a world-class stage.
Together, they pair a virtuosic musical ensemble with a visual aesthetic straight from the silver screen, turning the nostalgia of the past into the vibrant pulse of today’s celebrated events.

From the Living Room to the Big Stage
The heart of the band is rooted in a deep, lifelong love for the Great American Songbook. Katie’s early jazz education came directly from her father, the legendary Johnny Harris (famed for his work with Tom Jones, Paul Anka, and Nancy Sinatra).
"My first memory of singing jazz was me and Dad in the living room performing 'Come Rain or Come Shine.' I was ten years old, wearing a makeshift gown with sparkly fringe, and his beautiful piano accompaniment made that living room feel like the Royal Albert Hall."
